Beyond his notable technical know-how and vast experience, Greg is an exceptionally likable, and unflappable team-player. Always a joy to work with, always exuding grace and calm under pressure. The kind of guy who knows how to bring out the best in himself by bringing out the best in others. He’s patient and kind and eager to share with others his abundant knowledge.

Professor Emeritus
Greg and I share over 30 years’ experience in design and execution of technical and creative platforms deployed in every imaginable venue for a diverse range of stakeholders. Legitimate Proscenium Stages, Arenas, Trade Shows, Ballrooms, Black Box Theaters, Television and Film sets- Greg has mastered, and often added to the canon of Theatrical, Touring, Corporate, Studio and Location best practices as well as raising the bar on repeatable, under budget, and practical creative for a wide range of clients. Greg is both a student (and fan) of technology and is well versed in the foundational as well as the specific and highly specialized technology required for the most demanding applications, and it scales from the corporate boardroom all the way to Broadway, with substantial forays into the technology and psychology of touring National and International artists and an amazing array of corporate clients.
Greg works with each crewmember, regardless of the position they were assigned, to make certain everyone will be successful in their assigned task. I have never seen Greg consider anything beyond safety and success in combining people of diverse backgrounds and experiences into a cohesive and effective production team. Greg is polished yet relaxed with people- whether it’s an International Rock Star, an aging Diva, a billionaire CEO out front and crew of hands new to events or an experienced team of veterans backstage, Greg finds ways for everyone to find their voice and contribute to his long, long line of successful events.

Steven Baker - Ursa Minor Media, Inc.

Producer Technical / Direction
As the VP of Marketing for one of the top shopping and mixed-use centers in the country, I have had the unique opportunity to not only work with Greg, but to learn and expand my knowledge based on his technical skill set and collaborative style.  At The Bellevue Collection, we have two events in particular, Snowflake Lane and Fashion Week where we lean heavily on Greg’s skills including lighting design, staging and theatrical production, indoor and outdoor visual event lighting, and pre-architectural design for future developments. Snowflake Lane is the largest nightly outdoor holiday production in the country including architectural building lighting times to music, creative projection, snow and street entertainment lighting.  The Fashion Week production value rivals shows in major fashion cities, and he is a critical part of the production creative direction and nightly operations of the live events.  I have worked directly with Greg for nearly two decades and highly value his knowledge and his willingness to bring us along on the journey to understand and learn in order to provide the best experience for our audiences while honoring our budget needs and brand expectations.

I met Greg Scott in 2001 when I was Undergraduate Student at the University of Washington School of Drama. As a lighting design intern working under Greg, he became one my most trusted mentors, teachers, and friends in my career. Greg was supportive, providing guidance from many different areas within lighting design, from theatre to concert touring, to live events from which he draws his experience. Over the years, Greg and I have collaborated on concerts, theatrical presentations, and live events. Greg is a thoughtful, patient, and fun teacher. He has the artistic skill in his craft but also a strong sense of the business aspects of the industry, working with creatives, clients and producers. I have since moved away from Seattle working in live television and special events, however, Greg has remained one of my most favorite colleagues in the industry.

I have had the pleasure of working with Greg Scott for over 15 years. Greg was introduced to me as the best Lighting Designer in the Northwest; after working together I realized that reputation was an understatement. Greg brought so much more to the team then being an amazing Lighting Designer. I relied on his expertise to envision the whole production, create scenes, manage media, manage crew, as well as bring new ideas to the table. Greg has the ability to excel in any role he is in, from producer, LD, and media manager to set designer. Greg always manages to make everyone he works with feel included and part of the team.

Greg has an insatiable desire to understand anything and everything about the show, the audience, the storyline, and the performance. This ability to see and understand from the audience and the performer’s points of view allows Greg’s insights to add exponentially to the collective impact.  I’ve worked with Greg for over 30 years, from small simple productions to very complex events for thousands of people. I’ve watched him mentor, encourage, teach, and yet remain a continual learner himself in every situation. Greg represents the best in the industry. His technical skills are only rivaled by his ability and passion for great work. For me, he’s a key partner, collaborator, and contributor that always puts the show and the team above himself. I’m honored and proud to call Greg both an industry partner, collaborator and friend.

James Angelo - Dialogue LLC

Partner / Executive Producer
I have known and worked alongside Greg for several decades and across a wide variety of projects, role/deliverable and client types from live corporate to studio filming, scenic design, production design and lighting…that is remarkable in several ways and let me tell you why.
Greg has longevity in an industry where people do not last if they do not have: talent, passion for the work, for people, for collaborating, for creating meaningful moments for audiences that can shift mind sets and open new worlds. Greg brings these attributes to the projects he works on as part of the creative senior team. One of the keys to this is the “people” part I mentioned earlier, this industry is about collaboration and mentorship, in working together for a common goal and taking folks along with you, it is the way we build teams that work agilely, smartly and cohesively in a fast paced environment where there is a lot on line from large budgets to building the relationships that last decades and that are a big part of long term success.
I have seen and experienced Greg working alongside a diverse group of folks, find common ground, bring smart thinking and skills to a challenge, but always with empathy, awareness and understanding of the people sitting across the table, working behind the scenes or in front of the camera or on-stage…and always with an eye to the final audience.

Greg and I worked together on numerous large-scale productions for Microsoft and PACCAR. He is incredibly talented, and I always wanted him on my project teams. While he was most often hired in the role of Lighting Designer, he often brought ideas and solutions to help the project team design the overall experience. He loved collaborating with the other leads on the show and he often went above and beyond his role because it made for a better experience. Talent aside, Greg is also a person of high integrity and character. If Greg was on my team, I knew without a doubt, he had everything covered. Every single time.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Greg Scott for decades. That is not to say that either of us are old…but rather that both have considerable experience in corporate event production. Greg is a very talented lighting designer. But what I appreciate most about Greg is his ability to understand all aspects of a production and to seamlessly work across all teams. He understands the priorities of each of the departments – technical, creative, content, and client. This uncanny ability to be fluid in his communication is invaluable through both brainstorming as well as problem solving. And, the icing on the cake with Greg is that he is an authentically good human.
